Welcome to Headstart Mercy Montessori Training Centre, the outcome of the merged forces of two leading Montessori trainers in Africa – Dr. Lindsay van den Berg and Ms. Su Cunningham – both of whom ran successful, accredited, well-accepted Montessori training programmes.     We are committed to providing access and support to students of all ages and backgrounds. We aim to provide a positive, inclusive atmosphere based on mutual co-operation of all involved in our activities. We contend that the principles of respect and empowerment, which apply to children's learning, must also be applied to all adult learners and educators.

Home for our main campus, is the charming Seton House, Kenilworth, Cape Town, a double-storey Victorian building set in a large sunny garden.

Headstart Mercy Montessori Africa desires to promote Montessori education and to develop Montessori educators of the highest quality who will serve and support the child. We welcome applicants who show: • An aptitude for working sympa-    thetically and respectfully with    children • An aptitude for critical, reflective    thinking and independent learning • Good oral and written communi-    cation skills.

Accredited Montessori Teacher Training through full-time, part-time, and 'Flexi-time' courses.
